The other day Brennan and I watched the movie Ice Age.
While it's not our favorite movie, Brennan kept talking about the volcano at the end. It was still on his mind hours later, so I decided to go with that thought, and make our own volcano.
I'm sure everyone knows how to make a baking soda-vinegar volcano - baking soda in a cup + pour in vinegar = mini-eruption. Brennan decided he wanted a green volcano, so I mixed some green food coloring in with the vinegar.
I'm glad one of our shot glasses was able to get some action for this project. They've been neglected in the cabinet for a long, long time. : )
Bubble, bubble.
Fun stuff. Now Brennan wants to make a volcano everyday.
Surprisingly, we're all out of vinegar.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
A few weeks ago we went to a baseball game. Ogden, a town nearby has a Minor League team, the Ogden Raptors. It was Military Appreciation weekend, so we decided to go check them out.
We got seats in the back row of our section. One, to have a backrest, two, so there were fewer people that our wiggley-butt 3-year-old could bother.
He told me, "It's so shiny out here!"
Time for some snacks, drinks, and a potty break.
Honor Guard
Back and ready to catch some balls!
He gave up on the mitt, and decided to hold the new bat Daddy bought him for awhile.
Nice backdrop for a baseball game.
Another trip to the potty. : )
The Raptors won!
After the game, I don't think Brennan made it out of the parking lot before falling asleep.
Still holding his new bat. : )

Vacation Favorites
I know, seems like really old news, and those of you who are my friends on facebook have already seen most of these pictures ages ago, but I said I was going to post them, so here goes.
First just let me say, we all absolutely loved Washington. As in, when can we move on up - LOVE. There is so much to do and see, the people were so friendly, and the weather was wonderful. I know I might change my mind in the rainy season, but while we were there it was great.
Here was the cabin we stayed in during our stay.
Which overlooked the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
The tide pools were amazing.
We went on plenty of treasure hunts.
Some new additions to my heart rock collection.
As much as we would have just loved to stay at the cabin the whole time, we did get out and see some of the area.
The Hoh Rainforest
Cape Flattery (The northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States.)
Ruby Beach
Hurricane Ridge
Our 10-year wedding anniversary!
For the Twilight fans out there (which includes me, of course),
Welcome to Forks
Bella's truck and the Jeep hanging out together.
Not a Twilight locale, but we really enjoyed our lunch here. : )
Port Angeles
La Push and First Beach
Next up is Second Beach, I think it was our favorite. (There is a Third Beach, too, but we ran out of time). : (
And you should know, that aside from First Beach all of these other beaches required a hike to get to them.
The trails all looked like this.
And then you have to climb over lots of logs, obstacle-course-style, to get to the sand.
This turkey is smiling so big because he got carried over the log jam.
Well, there you go, our vacation has (finally!) been blogged. I have tons more pictures, but I'm sure you were thinking enough already a few scrolls back!
If you've made it to the end I hope you have a great weekend!
