Photo Challenge - Day 12

I found a fun reversible necklace today, so I thought I would do something creative with it. The other day on flickr I found a collection of dyptrichs, so I thought that would be the perfect thing to do with this. Now I can't wait to wear it!

Photo Challenge - Day 9

Today was supposed to be a "date day" with my hubby. We both had the day off, and Brennan was in daycare all day. We were going to do fun couple things, kid free...and then reality set in.

Thurday we missed the third attempt at a signature required Fedex package, so one of the things we had to do Friday on our date day (supposedly really quickly) was to go pick up the package at the terminal. Well, long story short, the terminal Fedex was holding our package at was not the one in town, it was the one in Crestview, FL, almost TWO HOURS away. So we spent our date day in the car...driving. Oh well, we still had a good time. It was nice being together and not having to focus on anything else, just talking. I even dozed off for a bit for a nice little nap. (Sorry, honey!!) On the way home, we drove passed the Watson Bayou Marina, and I snapped this shot from the car. Not a great pic, but hey, it's all I got. I do have it on my list to come back and take some more shots here (standing on solid ground!)



Oh, and after our Fedex adventure, we got back in town just in time to pick up Brennan at daycare. : )

Showin' Some Love

I put up some Valentine decorations today, so naturally that became my photo subject of the day. LOVE it!

Photo Challenge - Day 7

After all the pictures and editing from yesterday, I wasn't up for anything too creative today. So I went outside for awhile this evening with a candle and a reflector board to see what kind of effects I could get. Tada!

Photo Challenge - Day 6
OK, I had my makeshift "photo studio" set up today to take Brennan's Valentine pictures. I did have a few that turned out really good, and I plan to make a storyboard with those, but this was my favorite, even if he wasn't smiling. I can't wait to get some printed out. Nana is going to love it!

Day 4

A couple of pictures for today. While I was in the kitchen this morning I was drawn to how the light was shining on my insulators. (Random antique electric insulators I have collected.) Anyway, I decided to take some pictures of them for my Photo Challenge today.

Photo Challenge - Day 3

What a good day! Nothing extrordinary happened, it was just a good day. Daddy and Brennan and I went to the park in the morning. It was Brennan's first time on the slide. From the pic you will see he wasn't quite sure what to think of that!

The rest of the day we spent hanging out at home, had pizza for supper, and watched movies on TV. Like I said nothing extrordinary, but the kind of day when you get stressed and tired that you long to have.

OK, my first picture for my photo challenge. Yay! I was trying to get a photo with some good catchlights, and this is what I came up with. As you can see I had to corral Brennan in his highchair to get some "still" shots, but sometimes that's just what you have to do! ; )
