Brrrr.
How did that happen? (At least it doesn't stay that way all day...yet.)
It seems like the leaves on our trees just turned green, and now they are yellow and falling.
Don't get me wrong, I love fall, but 35 degrees is pretty wintery. Hopefully the snow will hold out for a little while. Thank goodness, (well, according to the weatherman), it looks like it will be nice on Halloween. Last year it was raining...not the most pleasant trick-or-treating experience.
On the other hand, the sunsets this time of year are beautiful.
This weekend we're going down to a Fall Festival at Wheeler Historic Farm. We went last summer and really enjoyed it.
I wonder if all the ducks and geese will still be there. (Ack, look how little he was!!!)
I wonder if this guy made it through last Thanksgiving, haha.
Moo!
Jason's favorite: the barns.
Plenty of stuff to climb on.
Brennan has already requested another "ride" on the tractor.
The backdrop for the farm.
Piggies. I'm sure they are much bigger this year.
There are also goats, rabbits, sheep, chickens, walking trails, picnic areas, and plenty of other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.
The festival will have music, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, and of course will be surrounded by fall leaves...LOVE.
I can't wait! And since it is my birthday weekend, it will be even better. : )

The Way He Sees It
I love photography. Surprise! Because of this, I have ended up with several digital cameras in my collection. Brennan has a huge need to play with anything electronic, (he's already asked for a computer for Christmas. Santa likes this one.) and my cameras are no exception. To save from a someday disaster involving my good cameras, and since I love that he wants to take pictures so much; I gave him one of my old point-and-shoot cameras.
He was thrilled! Over the past month he has been shooting away, every day. I've been meaning to download his pictures for awhile, but I just got around to it last week. I planned on posting this on last Wednesday, but as it turned out, I had 847 pictures to go through!
Yeah, the hour and a half I have to edit while Brennan's in preschool doesn't cover 847 pictures.
So here they are today. Well, here are a few today. (Really a bunch, but compared to 847, we'll call them a few.) : )
These are taken with an Olympus Stylus 600, on all kinds of settings. I did take over the camera from time to time to set everything back to normal. Brennan loves to push the buttons, which on a camera translates to exposure setting of +3.0, and weird focus points.
Of course, since we're dealing with a beginning photographer learning how to hold a camera, there were a lot of these.
And a lot of these. His favorite subject, it seems.
Then there were the random shots of the floor.
Mommy knees.
Room inventory.
Daddy knees.
And the self portraits.
A TV closeup. Curious George was on. Another favorite.
The ceiling.
Some close ups.
Exploring outside.
A pajama foot.
A Mommy foot.
I'm kind of glad this one is out of focus. : )
In the kitchen.
Out of focus Daddy.
Wearing Daddy's boots.
Then there were a bunch of extreme close ups. They were some of my favorites. Very artsy. : )
Back outside.
Rain boot feet.
New boots.
A Christmas project in the works.
Another self portrait.
Fun! I'm sure I'll be posting the next batch of these soon. Next time I won't wait so long in between downloading the pictures. Maybe a weekly thing?
Have a great week!
