Tybee Island Lighthouse

We recently returned from our vacation to Savannah, GA. While we were there we drove over to Tybee Island to see Fort Pulaski, a Civil War fort, and to explore Tybee Island. Since we were traveling with Brennan in tow, my original plan was to just check everything out from the ground, but Jason decided we weren't traveling to Georgia just to stand at the base of the lighthouse, we were climbing to the top! He seemed to have forgotten our trip to the Outer Banks a few years back and how many steps there were to the top of one of these things. (There are 178 steps to the top of this one, in case anyone is wondering.) Jason toted Brennan's chunky monkey self all the way up and back, and we all made it just fine. We took a couple of breaks on the landings (thank goodness for landings) and we were a little dizzy from going around in circles, but the view from the top was worth the trip. Here are a couple of my favorite pics from our excursion.

Finally! - Easter Egg Hunt 2009

I am a little behind on downloading and editing pics, so I wanted to get some of these posted today. Brennan caught right on to the egg collecting, even though he thought the goal was to throw the eggs back out of the basket once we were done. And no, the green grass and colorful flowers don't belong to Florida, we were in Indiana for my Grandmother's funeral. Unfortunate circumstances to see the green of Spring, but I knew she would have been happy for our fun, and in fact, I believe she was watching over our little Easter celebration.

Panama City Mardi Gras Parade

Jason, Brennan and I went to the PC Mardi Gras parade yesterday. We had a really great time, and I have lots of pictures! Brennan was a pro at avoiding making eye contact for a picture, but he was really busy, there were a lot of people and things to check out.
