Savannah Smiles

We went on a mini family vacation to Savannah in April. While we were there, I took a few pictures, we ate some great food, we walked around and saw a lot, learned a lot about Savannah (got hooked on the Twilight series of books, but that is a different story) and just had an overall wonderful, relaxing time. When we returned, of course, there was laundry and other domestic stuff to do, back to work catch up, unpacking, Jason repacking to leave for his Germany trip the following weekend - and then there was May - May was just a blur that just disappeared somehow. So to make a long story short, the Savannah pictures have been downloaded and I finished sorting and editing them tonight. These are my favorites of the bunch.

Cryin'

After some fun splashing in the pool, pushing monster trucks, and pulling up grass this morning, it was very obviously nap time.

Fruity Friday

I just cut up some grapes and cantaloupe for yummy weekend snacking.

Pineapple Plant

This is the pineapple plant that lives on my front porch. We have had it for about three years now, and while it did have a pineapple growing on it when I first bought it, it hasn't grown one since. I have hope for it every spring when the old plant dies and a new one sprouts up, but every summer it's all leaves and no fruit. It does make for some good close up photography, so I'll keep it around.

Spaghetti Brennan

Brennan ate spaghetti for the first time tonight. Most of his bites looked exactly like this one. I think he liked it!

An Unwelcome Visitor!

Snake!

Why would I post an out of focus, taken through the window picture? Bleah!!! Yes, a SNAKE! And it was inside our screen porch! Definitely changed our plans of playing in the pool for the afternoon. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it again. Thankfully, he found his way back out and we haven't seen him again.

Good Riddance, Mr. Snake! Please stay away from our house in the future.

Happy Mother's Day!

Besides the flat tire on the car when we took our cruise to Cape San Blas, I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Jason made breakfast for all of us in the morning, then I got presents (Pretty jewelry, a diamond heart pendant, and some hoop earrings), we went for a drive, and then we stopped and had a late lunch at Beach Pizza in Mexico Beach.

There was a little baby girl there that had his total attention. :) That's what he's looking at here.

Kiddy Pool and a Photo a Day

It was another HOT Florida day on Saturday, so we broke out the Kiddy Pool and let Brennan play. I also decided I wanted to start back up on my Photo a Day project, so this is the first day of that. These were taken with my point and shoot Olympus, so they're not the greatest quality, but IMO they're still pretty darn cute!

Beautiful Germany

OK, I didn't take these photos, Jason did, but I couldn't help but post them. I thought they were just beautiful. Jason spent the week in Germany for some training, and these were some of the pictures he took while he was there.
