Kiddy Pool and a Photo a Day

It was another HOT Florida day on Saturday, so we broke out the Kiddy Pool and let Brennan play. I also decided I wanted to start back up on my Photo a Day project, so this is the first day of that. These were taken with my point and shoot Olympus, so they're not the greatest quality, but IMO they're still pretty darn cute!

Beautiful Germany

OK, I didn't take these photos, Jason did, but I couldn't help but post them. I thought they were just beautiful. Jason spent the week in Germany for some training, and these were some of the pictures he took while he was there.

Tybee Island Lighthouse

We recently returned from our vacation to Savannah, GA. While we were there we drove over to Tybee Island to see Fort Pulaski, a Civil War fort, and to explore Tybee Island. Since we were traveling with Brennan in tow, my original plan was to just check everything out from the ground, but Jason decided we weren't traveling to Georgia just to stand at the base of the lighthouse, we were climbing to the top! He seemed to have forgotten our trip to the Outer Banks a few years back and how many steps there were to the top of one of these things. (There are 178 steps to the top of this one, in case anyone is wondering.) Jason toted Brennan's chunky monkey self all the way up and back, and we all made it just fine. We took a couple of breaks on the landings (thank goodness for landings) and we were a little dizzy from going around in circles, but the view from the top was worth the trip. Here are a couple of my favorite pics from our excursion.

Finally! - Easter Egg Hunt 2009

I am a little behind on downloading and editing pics, so I wanted to get some of these posted today. Brennan caught right on to the egg collecting, even though he thought the goal was to throw the eggs back out of the basket once we were done. And no, the green grass and colorful flowers don't belong to Florida, we were in Indiana for my Grandmother's funeral. Unfortunate circumstances to see the green of Spring, but I knew she would have been happy for our fun, and in fact, I believe she was watching over our little Easter celebration.

The Green, Green Grass of Home

Here's the sign that was in our yard when we got home this evening! Having a good yard is kind of a big deal in our neighborhood, so you can imagine the excitement around the Bal household tonight. Yeah, we're feelin' like the cool kids right now.

Brennan in Black and White

Brennan likes to play peek-a-boo with the curtains in the living room. On this day, Daddy was also outside moving the water sprinkle around, so that took the attention for a moment. These are some of my favorite pictures from this month.

My Smiley, Happy Boy

I haven't posted in quite a few days. Between the time change kicking my butt, to just being busy and tired in general, I haven't spent too much time on photography. Hopefully that will change soon. Anyway, here's a picture I took yesterday, or maybe it was the day before. Regardless, here is Brennan in all of his cuteness!

SMASH CAKE!

Brennan is 1! Time flies by so fast. We commemorated this occasion with a cake smash photo shoot. It was a lot of fun and very messy, as you can see from the pics.
